M. Rakhila Lakiumong, an intending independent woman candidate from 54 Tuensang A/C has urged the people to support her in the ensuing assembly polls scheduled for February 23.
Speaking at her declaration programme at her residence in Tuensang Monday, Rakhila, who had contested for two consecutive times said that women has the moral responsibility in leading the people of the nation and asked her supporters to work together with a positive attitude for the common good of the society.
Her declaration programme was attended by Kuthur village. council chairman Shokum, Head GB Tuensang village ‘C’ Khel Sangkum and the chairman of Chingmelen village council.
Earlier, the declaration programme was chaired by N.T. Mongko while invocation was pronounced by S. Makam Chingmelen. (Correspondent)
