Department of soil and water conservation, Mon, has been functioning without key post officers including head assistant, SDO headquarter, SDOs, Tizit and Aboi, overseer and absence of quarter for designated officer accommodation till date.
According to a press release issued by president, Bhartiya Adarsh Samachar Press Association (BASPA), Mon, M. Hejei Konyak, as per the information furnished by the district soil and water conservation department, Mon, on December 14, under the provision of RTI Act 2005, integrated watershed management project and watershed development project in shifting cultivation area were “programmed or schemed” under the soil and water conservation department, Mon, for the year 2011-12.
In this regard, BAS press association Mon has appealed to the authority in-charge to kindly look into the matter at the earliest.
