Pughoboto ADC Peter Lichamo convened a meeting with the different expenditure committees and political agents during the visit of poll expenditure observer for Pughoboto, M. Gupta at ADC office chamber, Pughoboto on February 2.
The ADC informed the election committees and agents to ensure the observation of model code of conduct for free and fair election.
In the meeting, expenditure observer informed the agents that all candidates had been informed to open a separate bank account for election expenditure.
He said that all the transactions related to election expenses has to be incurred from this account only and further requested all agents of the intending candidates to maintain correct expenditure to avoid unnecessary problems.
During the meeting, the observer also briefed the officials about the basic functions of the election expenditure mechanism of video surveillance team, video viewing team, accounting team, expenditure monitoring team, media certification and monitoring committee and flying squad.
He also called upon the officials to be alert and report to the authority against malpractices, hate speeches and bribery to protect the electors.
ADC Pughoboto also reminded all the polling officials for 13-Pughoboto AC to report for training as informed earlier.
