Deputy commissioner Phek convened a joint control committee comprising of administration, police & paramilitary force on February 4.
The meeting was deliberated on measures for conducting free and fair election, sufficient security personnel including CRPF,IRB to be deployed in the district especially sensitive and hypersensitive areas.
Assam Rifles personnel would conduct patrolling as well as area domination till election process was over. In order to control inflow of liquor checking/raids would be conducted regular basis. In addition to that special check gates would be erected.
