Nationalist Congress Party has demanded “unqualified apology” from NCP candidate from 3 Dimapur –III assembly constituency, Er.Dr.L Yezhekhu Sumi for giving up from the race to the polls at this stage.
In a press release, NCP legal cell national joint convenor Povotso Lohe also demanded that Yezhekhu come out with reasons as to how and why he had opted out and pledged to support another candidate in the constituency.
Expressing regret that Yezhekhu could stoop so low to such a level that he betrayed and cheated the party at the last moment, NCP said it was unexpected of his stature could expose cheap morality and lack of integrity in his political career. Further, NCP appealed to its party members to remain steadfast and work hard as betters days were ahead.
