ENPUD appeals to ENPO

Six federating union of Eastern People and the Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Diphupar (ENPUD) during a joint meeting held on April 21 discussed matters relating to the assault of former ENSF speaker by four persons allegedly belonging to NSCN (IM) led by one P. Lotha.

According to a press release issued by ENPUD president, O. Yanger Phom, and general secretary, L. Tsalise Sangtam, similar incidents happened earlier to employees and leaders of the ENPO where matters were still yet to be solved till date.

With regard to this, the six federating union of Eastern People and ENPUD appealed to ENPO to take up the matter resolved in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the release also stated that the accused persons should be summoned at ENPO headquarter to let them know where “eastern jurisdiction is”, at the same time, added “cease fire ground rules should be strictly maintained by Naga politicians (Factions)” and that the latter should not take law in their own hands to harass the Eastern People and the innocent Nagas in general.

ENPUD also appealed the ENPO to take necessary action against the culprits so that such incident is not repeated again in near future.

Meanwhile, in a separate release, Yimchungrü Women Organization (YWO) has condemned the assault on former ENSF speaker, Throngso Yimchungrü, allegedly by four cadres of the NSCN (IM) led by one P. Lotha.

Cultural secretary of the women organization, Kaisa Akiu, has appealed to all the law enforcing agencies to arrest and punish the culprits.
