Assam Rifles would conduct a recruitment rally for candidates of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and West Bengal, from May 6 to 22 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Mereima, Kohima, for tradesmen and para-medical staff categories.
According to a defence release, the rally would comprise of physical standard tests and physical efficiency tests comprising of 5 km run in 24 minutes, 11 feet long jump and 3 ½ feet high jump.
The release stated that on May 22 a written exam would be conducted for selected candidates and candidates who qualify in all respects would be placed on the merit list and instructions for joining respective training centre would be issued on the basis of merit list.
Further, the rally would provide candidates of the region an opportunity for “bright and glorious career” in Assam Rifles, the release stated.
