Parliamentary secretary for law and justice, land revenue and labour and employment Dr. Neikiesalie Kire (Nicky) would flag off the sanitation vehicle on June 17, 6 a.m. at Upper PWD resting shed Kohima. The sanitation vehicle is jointly launched by PWD colony Panchayat (PWDCP) and Sanitation Committee (SC).
In a release, the PWDCP and SC expressed its gratitude to the engineer-in-chief, PWD and his sub-ordinate officers for their contribution and convener SC, Dr. Kevichüsa, for taking initiative and making the project a success.
Meanwhile, PWD colony panchayat has informed the colony residents that the sanitation vehicle should be used only for disposal of garbage/waste only and that building material waste and other transportation would be strictly prohibited.
The panchayat also informed the residents not to throw waste into drainage or dumped the waste adding that it would strictly deal with the defaulters.
The colony panchayat in a release informed that sanitation fee of Rs. 50 per kitchen per month would be collected by the respective sector council as per notification issued by KMC.
It informed that if any one refuse to pay sanitation fee, the same would be disassociated from the concern sector council.
It informed that the routine for lifting garbage’s be Monday and Thursday for Upper PWD sector, Tuesday and Friday for Middle PWD sector and Wednesday and Saturday for Lower PWD sector and collecting time as 6 a.m. (winter) and 5:30 a.m. (summer).
