Residents of Longya Ward Kiphire (LWK) gave a facelift to the approach road connecting the main town to national highway 155 (old Kohima road) which has been laying in a pitiable condition for almost a decade due to improper drainage system.
The residents led by Longya Ward Council (LWC) office bearers and executive members on June 19 organized a social work and dug the drainage and repaired the road.
The social work was organized with the financial assistance from the government agency. Meanwhile, Chairman, Longya Ward Kiphire Town, T.T Sasemong Sangtam has thanked SDO (C), Dr. Tino Jongshi and administrator Kiphire Town Council (KTC) for providing fund toward the Longya Ward.
LWC has also expressed gratitude to all the volunteers for their help in executing the social work successfully.
