Adhoc Nagaland vegetable growers’ federation (NVGF) was formed during the state level vegetable farmers’ exposure tour-cum-training held at Zhavame village, Phek district on July 23 under the aegis of department of horticulture government of Nagaland.
The main objective of the federation was to look after the welfare of the vegetable farmers and to have close coordination among vegetable growers/vegetable villages of the state, so as to increase the production and to provide better marketing linkages for giving remuneration to the vegetable farmers.
The federation would be led by Chumlongse Sangtam as chairman, Vivotso Domeh as secretary. Advisors of the federation would be joint director of horticulture, Pawan Kumar, deputy director of horticulture DR. R.E. Lotha and DHO Phek and officer-in-charge, state horticulture nursery Dimapur, Dr. Moa Walling.
