A new church building of Pungro Town Baptist Church (PTBC) was dedicated by executive secretary, Yimchunger Baptist Church Association Rev Z Thsankiu on August 24.
On August 25, after the dedication, parliamentary secretary for excise, economics and statistics and LMCP, T Torechu, who attended the main church service, said that the grand church was a result of the team work and trust among the people.
Referring to the current scenario in the Naga society, Torechu said that violence was looming dark in the horizon and threatening to take Naga civilization backward. He said at this present juncture, the society must speak out fearlessly against violence, intimidations and injustices.
