Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) Phek unit has said construction of DC complex Phek district, which began in the later part of 2008, was incomplete even after a lapse of five years.
Stating that only 40-50% of the work was complete, NCSU Phek unit president and Kuzhosyi Alex and general secretary Khruzo said DC complexes in some districts have been completed despite work orders issued almost at the same time.
Asserting since contractor was unable to execute the work, as per the time duration framed by the state government, NCSU Phek unit said the staffs of district administration were stationed in different locations and as a consequence people public were facing immense hardship and inconvenience.
In connection with this, the unit has appealed to the responsible authority to immediately take appropriate action because public cannot suffer as a result of present contractor who cannot complete the work in time.
It further appealed to the authority responsible to issue another work order to competent and sincere contractor “in the interest of justice and welfare of the public of Phek district.”
