New building of Government Primary School (GPS) Kijumetouma Basa village, constructed under DMA (SSA) 2012-2013, was inaugurated by School Education Director Zaveyi Nyekha recently.
In his address, Nyekha said said parents and teachers form the backbone of bringing education in society. School education deputy director R. Angami encouraged to the youths to have competitive spirit. Ruokuolhoulie SDEO Kohima also exhorted the gathering.
The chief guest was accompanied by school education assistant director Vikeinuo, assistant district co-ordinator DMA (SSA) Theyeivilie and staffs and also SIS Khriekethozo.
VEC chairman Yalie chaired the function while pastor Medielhou CRC Kijumetouma invoked blessings. Welcome note was delivered by Kijumetouma Bassa Village Sobulie VCC Paunuo and special song was presented by GPS teachers and students.
A brief report on construction was accounted by VEC member secretary Thepfungulie, while vote of thanks was proposed by Kijumetouma Basa Village GB Pejumvu.
