Training-cum-demonstration on bio-fertilizer application was conducted in Pungro village on September 24. 32 farmers attended the programme, which was chaired by Kekosenuo Solo, BTM, Kiphire.
Resource person, Limaakum Longkumer, DPD demonstrated the application of bio-fertilizer and spoke on the benefits of its usage. Earlier, the programme started with a key-note address by Samuel L Yimchunger, accountant-cum-clerk. Meanwhile, training cum demonstration on banana cultivation was held at Chomi village on September 18.
Resource person Kekosenuo Solo BTM, Kiphire block spoke on the scientific method of banana cultivation and demonstrated the planting techniques and identification of pest and diseases incidences on banana plant. A total of 22 farmers attended the programme.
The programme was chaired by Vinoka Y. Kiba, BTM Kiphire block. In another training-cum-demonstration on IPM and winter crops that was held at Thethuyo, Sitimi block on October 8, resource person Vishyi Sema, convenor, Sitimi block demonstrated various IPM techniques.
Another resource person Vinoka Y. Kiba BTM, Sitimi block spoke on the package and practices of winter crops using scientific methods. The programme was chaired by Lipokjungla SMS, Sitimi block.
