NEC observes vigilance awareness week

North East Council (NEC) observed the Vigilance Awareness Week 2013, from October 28 to November 2 in the Council Secretariat.

According to a DIPR report, pledge was taken by all the officers and staff which were administered by Member of North East Council (NEC), Ashoke K. Dutta on 28th October 2013.

An essay-writing competition was organized on 30th October 2013, on the theme “Promoting Good Governance – Positive Contribution of Vigilance” for officers and staff of North East Council (NEC) Secretariat with option being given to the participants to write either in English or in Hindi.

A total of 14 participants took part in the Competition. Apart from awarding 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, all the participants were given Certificate of Appreciation.

A talk on Vigilance Awareness for officers and staff was also organized in the North East Council (NEC) Auditorium on November. Secretary, NEC and other senior officers including Financial Adviser, Economic Adviser (E&M) and Adviser (T&C) spoke on the occasion.

The Vigilance Awareness Week 2013 was observed with due solemnity. This year’s Vigilance Awareness Week was observed on the theme “Promoting good governance-positive contribution of vigilance”.
