Joint Council Forum (JCF) of Ekrani Pathar, Dubagaon, Eralibill villages and K.Hollohon Colony has decided to ban all forms of multiple taxation from the jurisdiction of the villages in solidarity with the Action Committee Against Unabated Taxation (ACAUT).
The decision was arrived at a meeting of JCF held on December 16 at the Ekrani Pathar Village Council hall after a deliberation.
While expressing solidarity with ACAUT and its resolution adopted on October 31 public awareness campaign, the JCF said the villagers would not pay tax unless “one govt. one tax’ became a practical reality.
JCF has urged village councils, GBs, business owners, business establishments, individuals and groups within its jurisdictions to refrain from paying any form of tax to the NPGs, unauthorized individuals or groups/organizations/agencies/government departments etc.

The forum also took a serious view on the movement of heavy vehicles plying/carrying raw materials like sands from the river belt of the four villages which has left the village in a deplorable condition. Due to this, the movement of heavy vehicles collecting and carrying any type of raw materials (sands) for commercial purpose in the forum’s jurisdiction.
