Have positive attitude, Rio tells students

Nagaland chief minister, Neiphiu Rio called upon the students to have positive attitude in every developmental aspect, for transformation towards a vibrant society as the future belonged to the youth.
He said this while speaking as chief guest at the golden jubilee celebration of Confederation of Chang Students Union (CCSU) at Loyem memorial ground, Tuensang town Thursday.
Rio reiterated that students should be willing to work if they wanted to transform society and earn a collective laurel for society. He maintained that though ‘educationally and economically’ eastern Nagaland might be backward but the peoples are not and therefore, urged upon the students to get rid of the tag ‘backward’ for the common benefit of the society. Rio also said that, the government was concerned with the educational sector of the eastern areas and for which elected members from eastern Nagaland had been given cabinet berth with education portfolio.
He said after the central government enacted the right to free education, the state government was focused on education and urged upon students to strive for quality education so as to be successful in life.
He also paid glowing tributes to the pioneer leaders of the union, who had sacrificed for uplifting the common cause of students and the community. In this, Rio said, the pioneers also fulfilled the vision of the past generation if the fifty years and urged upon the students to be prepared to go more miles ahead.
S. Ato Chang, president CKS and Shahsha L. Menhahu president ENSF also spoke on the occasion. The 50th years celebration programme was well attended by S. Pangnyu, Minister Industries & Commerce, C.M. Chang, Minister School Education, Kejong Chang, parliamentary secretary  Jail, Home Guards, Village Guards, DB/GB. Toyang Changkong Chang MLA & Chairman NBRM. DIG Range, OSD to CM, Special Secretary to CM. DC Tuensang and SP Tuensang and administration Tuensang. The programme was blessed by H. Sangkap Pastor Tuensang Town Baptist Lashong. Welcome address was delivered by Y. Hongkin Chang president CCSU.
