Awareness training for village health committee (VHC) and stakeholders of communitized health centre under Thonoknyu block was conducted January 25 at Thonoknyu town.
Resource person Dr T Pangchung Sangtam Dy.CMO Tuensang briefed on the role and responsibility of village health committees under communitisation.
He also stressed on the importance of community getting into partnership, working together and sharing responsibilities in the management of public Institution and services in order to make them function optimally and deliver quality services for the overall growth and development of the society.
He called upon health committee at various levels to exercise their role in the management of community health centre, primary health centre and sub-centres.
Power point presentation on administrative matters, technical matters, financial matters, preventive health care, promotion of indigenous medicine and mobilization of local resources were made. Block programme manager Peshe urged the participants to proper maintenance all the record in their respective health centre and timely submission of reports. DMO, BPM, BAM, ASHA coordinator, staff under Thonoknyu PHC and VHC members under Thonoknyu block attended the awareness training.
