All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) has informed all the zonal presidents of the association to be fully prepared for the “tools down” agitation starting from April 20. In a press release, ANEFWA president and general secretary Ayeto Sumi said the call was given in support of All Nagaland Inter Departmental Field Staff Associations Join Forum’s decision on the demand of regularizations and RoP of Work-Charge (W/C) employees as per the direction of the Gauhati High Court. ANEFWA reminded the government of its ultimatum for granting of time bound scale of pay and payment of past arrears as per the High Court direction within a grace period of 30 days which would expire on April 19. ANEFWA reiterated its appeal to the state government to avoid confrontation/agitation to take necessary steps forthwith and complete the process of the issue latest by April 19.
