“Nagaland Day of Prayer”, a day of prayer and fasting, organized by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), was observed March 15 at Union Baptist Church (UBC) Kohima from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Various legislators, their wives, heads of departments and their spouses, officers of frontal organizations, various establishments and Naga ordained ministers of different denominations in Nagaland attended the programme.
NBCC has expressed gratitude to the Union Baptist Church Kohima for hosting the programme. The Council has also thanked all the people who have come for the programme and especially for their effort and their concern to pray together for “our nation and our people.”
In a press release, NBCC said “it was an instance whereby the congregation had prayer of repentance, forgiveness, intercession and thanksgiving. It was also a time spent to pray and fast together for Nagaland.”
