NSCN (K) clarifies on defection

NSCN (K) Yimchungru region has clarified that Rekhum, son of Keoshu from Shiponger village, who surrendered to GPRN/NSCN recently, has not been “properly confirmed” for rank by NSCN (K). In a press release, NSCN (K) Yimchungru region chairman N.T. Yamthong stated that while interrogating Rekhum was “in-charge” of Yimchungrü region guard commander.
Yamthong also said when he told Rekhum to take oath and obtain army No, Rekhum fled with four arms M; 14, G; 3.  MK; 1V 2 nos   and defected to GPRN/ NSCN.  The Yimchungrü region demanded return of all the weapons since it was “government” weapons.
