GPRN/NSCN president ‘Gen. (Retd.) Khole Konyak has said that the GPRN/NSCN’s fiscal policy for 2014-15 must be based on the policy of “minimal taxation” formally introduced by “our forefathers” during the initial years of Naga political struggle.
In his speech to the ‘national tatar hoho cum budget session 2014-15, made available to the media by MIP, Khole said that GPRN/NSCN could not deviate from the honest and transparent fiscal tradition. “The sustenance of our National struggle is paramount and it must be streamlined… ”, said Khole. He said that over the years, the burdens of the Nagas have multiplied but the people understood that GPRN/NSCN was not “swindling their investments into Burma, Manipur, Assam or Arunachal Pradesh.”
