Responding to planning minister T.R. Zeliang’s  recent statement, 7 Peren ACCC Friday said cautioned the minister not to drag Congress’s name on the  veterinary college issue.
ACCC 7 Peren president Kerangau while appreciating those who took up the initiative in applying the RTI. After inquiries, it was learnt that the RTI applicants were ZPO members.
ACCC 7 Peren reminded that the minister sent one of his “paid men” who presented himself as the DSP special branch claiming that he was directed by the government to verify the works at veterinary college site.
The DSP imposter informed the RTI applicant to be present at the site with clear intentions of intimidating him, said Kerangau.
ZPO took up the issue and lodged a complaint against the “imposter” who was allegedly paid by T.R. Zeliang and begged the ZPO officials from different corners to solve the issue amicably.
Kerangau said the “imposter” was yet to be arrested and it was clear that the police were reluctant in carrying out their duties for fear of losing their jobs.
He clarified that Congress workers went to the site (veterinary college, Jalukie) and found the retaining wall collapsing. Kerangau alleged that the contractors were the local NPF leaders.
