To do away with the “proxy teaching system” in Pughoboto area, Sumi Aphuyemi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SAKK) office bearers inspected all the government primary, middle, high schools and private schools under Pughoboto Sub- Division from May 26 to 30 May.
SAKK claimed that among 43 government schools under Pughoboto sub-division, only Chishilimi GPS, Mukalimi GPS, Ighanumi GPS, Kitami GPS and Kilomi GHS schools were found to be without “proxy/substitute” teachers. The union said that there are five GHS, 13 GMS and 25 GPS out of which the total number of students enrolled was 2132 from nursery till class X.  The student body said that altogether there were six private schools out of which the total enrolment of the students is 1225.
Further, SAKK has directed all the teachers to report to their respective schools within three months from the date of publication of this report without fail. Failing to report to the school, SAKK cautioned that it will lead to the demand of the termination of their post by it to the higher authority.
