JE detected in Tuli Town

As reported by Nagaland Post, a case of Japanese encephalitis has been detected at Tuli Town recently. In response, DVBO (NVBDCP) Mokokchung has sent a team for awareness and preventive advocacy on July 25 and August 9. According to a press release, all the children within the age of one who had not been immunized were asked to avail the facility at the nearest health unit at the earliest.
The use of mosquito nets and repellents were also encouraged. Dr. Marina of DVBO, Mokokchung thanked the state programme officer and the directorate of health and family welfare for the prompt response to the issue. She also thanked the chairman and secretary of Tuli Town Wards Union, SDMO and the community for their contributions.
