CCCTA notifies hotels, restaurants

Chumukedima Chamber of Commerce and Trade Association (CCCTA) in consultation with the administrator has notified all hotels and restaurants to remain open on all Sundays except those hotels which are “attached with pan shops and groceries”.
CCCTA in a press release issued by its president, Avi Case, and general secretary, James Kin, has also reminded all business community to strictly abide by the rules and not to sell goods above MRP or expired goods.
While appreciating new regulation issued by the administration ordering to pack waste materials in poly bags to keep the town clean, CCCTA also requested all business community to strictly follow the new regulations.
It also stated that that on receiving complaint about serving “warning” notice to shops by some “illegal vested person” that eggs procured from others would be destroyed unless it was bought from them stating that they have taken tender.
Further, CCCTA has warned those “illegal vested person” disturbing free and healthy open market/perfect market competition and trying to forcibly monopolies the market for selfish gain would be treated with all seriousness.
