Parliamentary Secretary and advisor of NBWAD Khriehu Liezietsu on August 12 released “Foot Prints of North Block” at his private residence, Rulizou.
“Foot Prints of North Block” documents profile of the North Block Ward Adoption Committee (NBWAC) and is an initiative program of DPDB, Kohima, which include NBWAC profile, its newsletter, leaflets on sanitation & SWM and sticker logo of the Panchayat brought out/published by the committee.
During the release programme, Khriehu thanked the committee members for their corporation and expressed his happiness at the successful projects undertaken and also hoped that ongoing projects would also yield a fruitful end.
During a final round consultation power point presentation of North Block-cum- dinner hosted in honour of outgoing members of NBWAC along with its Panchayat, district soil conservation officer, Kohima K. Khekiho Shohe, gave a brief presentation on the activities of NBWAC for the year 2013-14.
The presentation included reports on the repairing of North block Panchayat Hall, renovation of community ring well at Keziekie, GIS mapping of the ward, installation of permanent street lights at Lower Pezielietsie, recently concluded seminar on sanitation and solid waste management conducted at baptist higher secondary school and various proposals and programs that are in the pipeline.
He also gave a brief talk on Information technology sector for providing better services to the citizen and to ease traffic congestion to the ward and Kohima town.
In the closing session, the parliamentary secretary gave away the documents to all the team members and North Block Panchayat.
