Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Nagaland University (NU), organized a training programme for progressive farmers on November 18 under Tokiye block, Zunheboto district. At the training programme, topics on basics of goat management, potato marketing channel and production technology of cabbage were delivered by SMS animal science Dr. Nongothung Ezung; SMS (GPB/AGR) Dr. Visakho Shunyu; and SMS horticulture Edenly Chishi. Film show on cabbage cultivation and goat rearing were other highlights of the programme, while exhortation speech was delivered by BDO cum in-charge DPO, Tokiye block, Inavi Chishi.
The programme was followed with interactive session. Farmers were also given vegetable seeds and medicine for animals.Progressive farmers from three different villages namely Viyilho, Viyixe and Phulesheto attended the programme. The main objective of the programme was to make the farmers aware of the opportunities and improve their socio-economic condition.
