The 70th Viswema Youth Day was celebrated on April 25 on the motto “Strength and vigour” at Viswema Community Hall with the Director of Fishery, Zenohol Thapo, as the speaker.
Addressing the youth, Zenohol said today our society is lacking behind in peace, understanding and obedience which needed to be revived. He also acknowledged the pioneers who set up the organisation with a vision to promote the upcoming youth. Terming the youth as ‘cream and assets of the village,’ he called upon them to come forward with broad vision and contribute towards the welfare and betterment of the village.
The speaker also dwelt on the competitive world and urged the youth to work hard, have determination and put more efforts in their studies after completing their degree courses, MBBS, MA, Engineering etc. in order to excel in the competitive exams such as UPSC and NPSC exams. He rued that in the present society we find more in quantity and less in quality.
The programme was chaired by President VYO, Eyosa Kikhi, while pastor VCRC Nosazol Valeo invoked God’s blessing. Secretary report was given by Puleto Rhutso. Special song was presented by Rukuhokho and friends, while solo was presented by Sosutol Sothu and Tati presentation by Keneisanu and friends and Kikrovizo and friends. The vote of thanks was said by Zholezo.
