In order to access and evaluate the performance of pre-school activities, the State Programming Officer, E Yanrenthung, along with department officials visited Anganwadi Centers at Alahuto ‘B’ Zunheboto on April 24.
In an interaction, the State Programming Officer stated that the proposal for creation of two more Anganwadi centers at Alahuto ‘A’ & ‘B’ had been approved by the central government and the green signal from the state government was awaited and likely to be materialised soon. He said pre-school students who were deprived of shortages of school would be able to avail opportunity of learning.
E Yanrenthung also thanked the GBs, council members and Anganwadi staff for extending a warm reception and encouraged them to uphold their co-operation.
Zhehoto Muru, GB, apprised for enhancement of present school building which at present could not accommodate the students. He also requested the officer to extend sufficient play materials to create more interest for the students.
Zhehoxu Anche, Ex-GB, also gave a short speech during the programme. The vote of thanks was delivered by James, CDPO Sanis, while benediction was pronounced by Kiviho, Deacon. Michael Zaren, Assistant Director; Zubemo Kikon, Assistant Director; and 7 CDPOs from different ICDS projects of Nagaland accompanied the chief guest.
