Dimapur district monthly district health review meeting was held on May 11 at chief medical officer (CMO)’s conference hall, Dimapur.
At the meeting, the monthly programme activity representation was presented by Dr. Talitoba, District TB Officer, Dimapur. He presented the activities and performance status of RNTCP.
During his presentation, TB officer urged other health centres to improve their sputum collection and also the referral component.
Dr. Lanuakum, DPO, UIP-RCH reminded the members on the UIP schedule of RI and Open Vial Policy. He stated that vaccines like DPT, Hep, OPV & TT could be used upto four weeks provided the vaccine has not expired or the vaccine vial monitor (VVM) was not damaged and storage temperature was maintained at 2 – 8 Deg. Celsius. He also reminded to note the date and time when opening a new vial.
Dr. Lanuakum told members that JE vaccine could now be used upto 4 hours like BCG and Measles vaccines.
He requested all units to further improve the monitoring and immunization activities during the ongoing Indradhanush Mission. Dr. Lanuakum further requested the MO i/c to re-orient health workers at their respective block during their respective monthly meetings.
The meeting, chaired by Esther Thirah, DPM, NHM, was attended by CMO and Staff, various Programme Officers, SMO, MO i/c of Health units and DPMU staff.
