Kiphire students reach out to Napal quake victims

As a gesture of solidarity, joint students’ unions of Kiphire district handed over the free-will donation towards Nepal earthquake victim, when they called on deputy commissioner (DC) Kiphire on 8 May.
The donation drive was carried out by the joint students unions in aid of Nepal earthquake victims from the educational institute and students from Kiphire Town.
Unions representing five areas included Kiphire Area Students Union (KASU), Longmatra Area Students Union (LASU), Singti Area Students Union (SASU), Seyochung Area Students Union (SASU) and Amahator Range Students Union (ARSU). They handed over an Rs. 26, 525 to the DC on behalf of the students of Kiphire Town.
DC Kiphire A.Chumremo Odyuo during the interaction with joint students union thanked them for taking the initiative and doing commendable job for the Nepal earthquake victims.  Also, expressing his appreciation, DC thanked all the students for the generous contribution, which he said would make a “lot of difference”. He further said we should “all help each other in times of pain and need”.
Meanwhile, the joint students union also expressed gratitude to all the principals and students for the generous contribution co-operation and support rendered.
