MLA Namri Nchang launched “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” at Community Health Centre (CHC) Tening and asked the centre to be an exemplary in maintaining cleanliness and creating awareness.
Namri said that it was the responsibility of every individual to make the mission successful and urged the staff of CHC Tening to also educate the public whenever they visit the centre.
On the same day, plantation programme was also organized wherein the MLA appealed the people to preserve and protect the nature saying that one should not only plant but make sure the sapling grow.
With the world focusing on global warming, Namri said it was the responsibility of all to initiate the movement from the grass root level.
He then lauded all the departments, town council, youth, women and NGO for their positive respond.
The MLA was accompanied by additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Tening, EAC Nsong , SDAO Tening, Ranger Tening, MO Tening Chairman Tening town council and others leaders.
