One Truck carrying sand and a Tata mobile loaded with essential commodity heading towards Manipur were partially burnt by some unknown miscreants on June 15 night around 11.30 p.m. near Viswema village, some 20 km away from Kohima. Police sources said on receiving information, a team rushed to the spot and was able to save the two vehicles from being completely burnt.
Police further informed that they were able to save two more trucks carrying sand, from being burnt. The trucks were poured with diesel to be set on fire, police added.
PRO Kohima police said they were yet to ascertain the cause of the incident.
