Mkg civic body reiterates on use of CFL bulb

Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has reminded its standing orders that all shops must keep their surroundings illuminated with sufficient light by using CFL bulb at night.
ADC & MMC administrator Bendanglila said surprise checking would be conducted and those defaulters would be penalized. The order also said no one was allowed to keep waste/garbage on the way side other than dumping box/garbage bin. It stated that throwing of waste materials into the storm water drainage was not allowed and ward authorities were requested to take necessary initiatives to this effect.
Further, MCC said random parking of vehicles on the streets was not allowed within the municipal jurisdiction. Vehicles users have been reminded to abide by the order with regard to parking and non-parking as allotted by the traffic police.
MMC has also stated that existing rate of pork both for local as well as for the mahol cut meat of Rs. 180, intestine Rs. 100, head & leg Rs. 120 per kg should be strictly complied with and cautioned that defaulters shall be penalized as per the provision. 
It stated that stated that selling of vegetables and other items on any open space/road side or in front of shop other than designated market would not be allowed.
