Zunheboto Range Students’ Union (ZRSU) had destroyed 502 bottles of assorted Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) which was seized by the union during surprise checking on July 3.
In a press release, ZRSU president, Tohuto K Zhimo and ZRSU general secretary, Tokaho N Zhimo informed that volunteers from all the units participated in the raid and caught “enormous amount of liquor”. ZRSU said the union was assisted by 9 police personnel during the raid and after the raid, the seized items were destroyed in the presence of administration staffs and public leaders.
Meanwhile, the union has sought the cooperation of the citizens and added that it would continue to organise such raid even in future.
