
Nagaland Post: Editor and staff Nagaland Post expressed deep sorrow at the sudden demise of Mrs Lhusi Haralu in Kohima on Sunday (November 15,2015) a day before the observance of the 50th anniversary of Nagaland Peace Centre of which she was the secretary. Late Lhusi was also one time editor of Ura Mail, which she took over after the death of her brother late Chalie Kevichusa. Late Lhusi was also a teacher in the then Baptist English School(now Baptist Higher Secondary School) where she taught elocution and music during 60s till 70s. In her passing away, people of Nagaland and in particular the women, have lost a towering figure and the void created would be difficult to fill in a long time. The Editor and Staff Nagaland Post convey their heartfelt sympathy to the Bano Haralu, daughter of late Lhusi and pray that God would grant them strength to overcome their grief and also eternal peace to the departed.
L.Khumo: Parliamentary secretary for Land Revenue, Village Guards & Women Resource Development L. Khumo has expressed sorrow and mourned the sudden demise of late Lhusi Haralu. In a condolence message, Khumo described late Haralu as a mother of high stature who has dedicated her life for the society. Further, Khumo also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
K. Therie: NPCC president K. Therie has expressed shock at the demise of late Lhusi Haralu, Executive Director, Nagaland Peace Centre. In a condolence message, Therie described late Haralu as a remarkable personality which was impossible to ignore and kind and generous by nature. Therie said she was also dedicated and sincere in whatever she undertook particularly in issues related to peace, the cause for which she was very firm about and contributed immensely to. The president along with NPCC has expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Almighty God comfort and console them through this painful time.
