
National Deworming Day was observed on February 10 at Medical Colony Anganwadi Centre, Dimapur. Among those present were deputy CMO Dimapur, Dr. Antoly, DIO Dimapur, Dr. Lanu, DPO Dimapur, S. Nezolu Rhakho and CDPO (U) Asangla Jamir and supervisors.
TUENSANG: National Deworming Day was observed at St. Joseph School, Tuensang organized by district health society under chief medical office on February 10.
The programme was launched by CMO, Dr.T.Pangjung Sangtam in the presence of DPO (RCHUIP), Dr. Temsu Longchar and staffs of CMO office. The programme will cover children from 1-18 years for de-worming in the district. CMO appreciated the school authority and appealed the general public for further cooperation.
MON: District level orientation training on LLIN for block level trainers consisting of 6 block medical officers, 7 block ASHA coordinators and 6 block programme management unit was conducted on February 10 at CMO office, Mon.
The training was conducted by the district level officers and facilitated by the State Public Health Consultant, NVBDCP. Representatives of Caritas India under the Development Association of Nagaland attended too.
This training was conducted to prepare all ASHAs in Mon district for the distribution of long lasting insecticide treated mosquito nets in the district.
National Deworming Day (NDD) was observed at Mon on February 10 with distribution of deworming tablets through ASHAs and Anganwadi workers for children from 1-18 years, targeting both school going and drop outs as beneficiaries.
MOKOKCHUNG: Mokokchung district observed the National De-worming Day in all the 6 (six) projects.
Albendazole Tablets (400 mg) were administered to all 1-5 yrs children registered in the Anganwadi Centres and the same was administered to school boys and girls from 6-19yrs.
The Mob Up Day (MUD) will be on the February 15 for all those who were left out on February 10.
