Phek Village Mothers’ Association (PVMA) has vehemently condemned the dastardly and inhuman act of mother who has allegedly tortured her 3½ years old stepson for the last three months.
In a condemnation note, PVMA president Vekhozolii Soho and general secretary Surhonielu Keyho alleged that the stepmother of the victim had tortured her stepson and physically abused the minor by burning both his hands and legs with candle and other ignitable items.
PVMA said that the stepmother claimed her stepson was mentally challenged and insane. Maintaining that such people has no place to live in the “civilized society”, PVMA has appealed the general public to condemn such act.
The association also stated that the dastardly act of the mother has brought shame and disgrace to the entire womenfolk.
