Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship Dimapur (BPFD) has condemned the “unprovoked” and brutal assault on pastor of Dimapur Rongmei Baptist Church, Sechu colony, Meingandai Gangmei in the early hours on June 3.
In a condemnation note, BPFD said Meingandai was part of the BPFD and that such action was a serious concern to all the peace loving citizens. Further, BPFD prayed for the speedy recovery of pastor Meingandai and appealed to the investigating agency to take appropriate action. BPFD has also encouraged the citizens of Dimapur to practise true Christian ethics and maintain stability in the city.
DRBC: Rongmei Baptist Church Association Nagaland (RBCAN) has condemned the attack on pastor Meingandai Gangmei even after identifying himself. RBCAN executive secretary, Mathiuthai Gonmei stated that such ill practices of hurting was the work of “our” local youths from Dimapur town has saddened the hearts of members of certain churches. The association said that pastor Meingandai Gangmei was not only a pastor in Dimapur but was also the present chairman of mission board of the association.
Further, RBCAN prayed that Almighty God grant speedy recovery and wholesome healing on “our” beloved fellow worker.
