Naga Hoho condoles Sakhrie’s demise

Naga Hoho (NH) has expressed shock at  the untimely demise of Ahu Sakhrie on July 23, 2016. In a condolence note, NH president, P.Chuba Ozukum described late Sakhrie as one of the founding member of the Naga People’s Movement for Human Rights at a time when there was overall suppression from the Indian authority against the inalienable Rights and identity of the Nagas. 
The Hoho described late Sakhrie as bold having oratory skills and outspoken person especially on the political rights of the Naga people. “As a leader, he never had a negative attitude and his sole desire was for the betterment of the Naga society”, NH said. Leaving aside his profession as a State government employee, late Sakhrie actively contributed in Naga Hoho as the chairman of election commission in 2006. 
“He was a visionary and committed to the Naga cause. His role as a dedicated leader would be very rare to find among the contemporary Naga leaders”, Naga Hoho said.Further, Naga Hoho extended condolences to late Sakhrie’s wife Delli Rose Sakhrie, children and all the near and dear ones and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul.
