AYO organizes seminar as part of its forthcoming 25th anniversary

As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations scheduled in November this year, the Angami Youth Organization (AYO) organized a seminar today at WAPO hall, Sechü Zubza.
The one-day seminar, on the topic economy, was hosted by the Western Angami Youth Organization (WAYO).
AYO, in commemoration with its 25th anniversary celebrations, would also be organizing similar seminars on the topics ‘Education, Environment’ at the other Angami regions including Northern Angami and Southern Angami on September 10 and 24 respectively. The first seminar on ‘Ethos’ was held on August 20 at Niathu Resort, Dimapur, hosted by Chakhroma Youth Organization.
The resource persons for today’s seminar were Rovi Chasie, entrepreneur, Richard Belho, architect and Kesao Kesiezie, businessman, while the panelists were Khris Kire, businessman, Neivikuolie Khatsü, social activist and Dr. Vilar Solo, entrepreneur.
In his lecture, Richard Belho stressed the need for not only providing opportunities and platform to educated unemployed youths, but to the drop outs. To this, he suggested that the student and youth bodies come out with proper planning for drop outs in order to guide them towards having a bright future.
Belho, who also serves as the chairman of Zynorig Initiative Society, Training in Building Construction and Livelihood Sector, advised the youths on the importance of honesty, reliability and sincerity, if at all they wished to make a career in the business sector.
Another resource person, Kesao Kesie, proprietor of United Traders, Kohima, shared to the gathering the importance of building up a good relationship with the customers. With the market becoming so competitive, he also advised the upcoming generation to strive hard with perseverance until they were able to establish themselves as a successful businessman.
Rovi Chasie, who runs a livelihood enhancement centre, advised the aspiring entrepreneurs to establish their business careers with a positive mind aiming at the top. She reasoned out that many Nagas failed to establish themselves in the business sector, only because they aim for quick profit.
Earlier, the programme commenced with invocation pronounced by Neivilhou Kuotsu, associate pastor, Sechü Zubza Baptist Church, while the keynote address was delivered by Prasielie Pienyü, co-convenor, organizing committee, AYO 25th anniversary celebrations. A song was presented by Tsino Viya, and the vote of thanks was tendered by Neizolie Rüpreo, finance secretary, AYO.
Members from Angami Sports Association, Angami miapfü Mechü Krotho, Western Angami Public Organization, Western Angami Sports Association and Western Angami Students Union also attended the seminar.
The next AYO seminar on the topic ‘Education’ is scheduled on September 10 at Meriema village, to be hosted by the Northern Angami Youth Organization.
