
Angami Students’ Union (ASU), Lotha Students Union (LSU) and Ao Students’ Conference (AKM), which had on September 8 last jointly served a five-day ultimatum on chief minister to address their demand concerning NSEE-II, said on Thursday that they have decided to keep their ultimatum in abeyance.
In a joint statement, ASU president Dieve Yano, LSU president Amos Odyuo and AKM president Jemti Longchar said the three student bodies held a meeting with the department of technical education on September 13, 2016, at secretary chamber in Kohima. The signatories said that as requested by responsible department to wait till September 19, 2016, of the cabinet meeting, the three apex student bodies would keep ultimatum in abeyance.
They, however, warned that failure to deliver justice, the three student bodies would take own course of action.
