Cherry Blossoms Society (CBS) in collaboration with the Rotary Club , Kohima observed World Day for The Disabled on December 3 at Kohima Village Council Hall( KVC) along with PwDs from Kohima village, Chedema and Chedema model village with Pheluopfhelie Kesiezie as the chief guest and Dr. Rosemary Dzüvichü as guest of honour.
More than 200 people gathered for the celebration. National Anthem was performed in Sign Language by the students of Cherry Blossoms School and presented dance, duet and choreography. The Rotarians of Kohima gave away gifts of woollen fleece to all the disable people and eldery persons.
The program ended with a note that People with Disability should be given equal platform in all walks of life. Kedizelhou Rutsa, sr. graduate teacher of Sechü Zubza spoke of his experiences as a person who had to fight all odds even to this date.
The program was chaired by Watikala Jamir and Neilazotuo Rutsa and welcome address by Adani.
