Achumi Kuposhukulu executives and elders observed their annual prayer day on December 15 at a simple and impressive programme hosted by the outgoing president rtd. jt. director of Social Welfare, Shikuto Achumi at Naharbari Dimapur.
Vika Achumi rtd. DIG Nagaland Police took over as the new president of the team. Invocation was said by Tokhuli wife of late Nihoto Achumi rtd. ADGP Nagaland Police, blessing the clan was said by Rev. Heikhu Achumi, while anointing the outgoing and the new president was done by Rev.Dr. Hevukhu Achumi ES,WSBAK.
Dr. Luhevi Achumi, who was recently conferred a doctorate in social work exhorted the gathering. Viheshe Achumi, rtd. jt. director of Industries emphasized on unity and brotherhood among the clan and Sumis in general. Pukaxu Avchumi, Mghato Achumi and Izhexu Achumi elaborated on the second edition of Achumi migration and descendants’ magazine. Ghoheje Achumi chaired the programme and Kiyevi Achumi read out the annual report. Khevishe Achumi vice president Western Sumi Hoho conveyed the vote of thanks and also thanked God that the clan was witnessing many promising upcoming leaders and intellectual to lead the community and Nagas. Rev. Tuyi Achumi conducted the benediction.
