Result declaration of the 2016 “Operation Clean Wokha” has been differed due to busy schedules of the implementing partners.
A press note by Team Metamorphosis president, Thungdemo Kyong has apologized to the general public at the delay due to genuine reasons. It stated that inspection of the ongoing program had already been done in the second week of December, where representatives from the NVBDCP Wokha unit of Medical Department, the Wokha Town Council, SDEO Wokha, and the Lotha Eloe Hoho along with Team Metamorphosis’ members had visited the twenty seven colonies of Wokha town.
It also informed that “Operation Clean Wokha” was officially launched on April 25 at a function organized by the NVBDCP in commemoration of the World Malaria Day where the then DC, A. Robin Lotha was chief guest.
The press note also informed that decision of the winning colonies and institutions would be determined with all the marks the colonies and institutions have garnered since its launching on April. Colonies with responsible citizens putting effort in cleanliness, effective & judicious usage of electricity, maintaining tranquility etc were on the profiting end, whereas, colonies where efforts for the same were less or electricity put on unnecessarily during the day lost their precious marks. It stated that after thorough deliberation with the Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Team Metamorphosis would be announcing the result and simultaneously give away the prizes to the winners on January 26 during the Republic Day program.
Team Metamorphosis has also acknowledged every individual and group that had contributed towards the success of the programme.
