Federal Government of Nagaland has expressed “unequivocal” appreciation to the people for unitedly rejecting the “alien cultures and abiding by our tradition, culture and customary laws at this crucial time.”
A press note by FGN kilonser rali wali, ‘capt.’ (Retd.) Yirei Lungleng stated that “wisdom of our people in carrying out one of the wills of God will remain alive in our history as it was a great moral issue between the true Nagas and the anti-Nagas”. It stated that Nagas as a nation have nothing to do with the “Constitution of India, the aggressors”.
It stated that FGN strongly believe and hope that “our people would surely continue to stand together in defence of our national right in the days to come”.
FGN stated that “our people the host have taken the right decision at the right time and sacrificially done the great thing for the Nagas as a whole” and that no one “can stop us in regaining our sovereignty, the gift of God.”
