Sainik School Punglwa organized a street play “cancer, the silent killer” to sensitize and educate people on the dreadful disease at Punglwa village weekly market, Wednesday.
The cadets gave a mesmerizing and creative street play vividly depicting how cancer could kill the human race silently. The awareness and prevention of cancer was given by cadet Tamar Mara and his team.
During the play, the cadets informed that the top three cancers in Nagaland among male were nasopharynx, stomach, and oesophagus, and among females were cervix, stomach and breast.
The information on cancer was provided by the cadets to all the villagers present at Punglwa. The speech was given in both English and the local language so that the message could be conveyed to the masses.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the village has complimented and expressed gratitude to the school authority for organizing educative street play for the villagers.
