Various schools particularly those affiliated to CBSE have urged upon the state government to lift the ban on mobile/data internet services since, saying students were being affected to carry out their online test/exams and other activities.
Talking to Nagaland Post, chairman of a reputed school in Dimapur said 90% of CBSE students have been held back by the suspension of internet. This has stalled all online test and other activities of the students, he said.
Some of the problems highlighted by the chairman was inability to upload practical marks, net banking, and online exams and online fee submission. Sources further appealed to lift the ban for mobile and internet services at the earliest keeping in view the upcoming NBSE, CBSE and other related exams where most of the students download materials through the internet. This was so because many were data card (via SIM card) users.
