Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress (NPYC) has demanded responsible authorities and the State Governor to promptly initiate necessary corrective actions, as deemed fit, to all the corruption charges.
NPYC stated that the image of the state and the future of the youth cannot remain to be kept “boiling in cauldron of corruption by remaining blind to the reality around us.”
In a press statement, NPYC president, Vilhousielie Kenguruse, claimed that the present NPF-BJP DAN Government has lost all sense of sincerity and transparency in the working system.
Expressing outmost resentment over the prevailing highly integrated corrupt system that is going on, NPYC accused NPF-BJP DAN Government of becoming “master of corruption”.
And against this backdrop, NPYC said the frustration of the common man could be seen by the overwhelming backlash against the government in the ULBs Election imbroglio.
NPYC stated that it was not just ULB but an accumulated outburst of people’s anger for total rejection putting a grinding halt to the whole system.
Accusing the present government for “mastering the art of corruption to the fullest”, NPYC citied few examples namely the recent exposure of massive back-door appointment in various departments, illegal work tenders, misuse of office and abetment by former chief minister  and concern minister under CMRDF case, Gross mismanagement of Rs 597.63 Crore as reported by CAG Report, 373 Incomplete Projects in 36 departments denying the intended benefits to the beneficiaries and heralding  a whooping deficit of Rs. 1437.84 crore budget to its humble subjects, etc.
Stating that the “list of anomalies” was endless, NPYC said these gross anomalies cannot be wiped off by saying “…..these mistakes will not be repeated in the future” as stated by the present chief minister nor by saying “expunge” to the corruption charges by the Speaker in the house.
Demanding for justice, NPYC also said the “the victims backdoor appointees” should be suitably compensated by “these very leaders personally for luring them into their highly integrated web of corruption.”
NPYC has also called upon all the Naga youth to come forward and join hands to work together in pursuing this positive change in the society.
It said the present system of governance under some unscrupulous selfish leaders cannot continue to hold ransom to the future of Naga youths.
Asking the youth not to remain “mute-spectator”, NPYC asked them to rise up to the occasion and become pro-active to champion the cause of the people. In this regard, NPYC also called on the youths to get enrol in the organization so as to voice together in unison.
Further, NPYC stated that during its emergency executive meeting held on March 30 at its Office Chamber, Kohima, ut has resolved to work steadfastly under the leadership of NPCC president, K. Therie, so as to bring positive change to the present decaying system of governance in the state.
